How do I order and add a block of PROs?

This article helps you with how to order a block of PROs and submitting an IT ticket to have them loaded.

Purpose

This article explains how to:

    • Order blocks of PRO numbers from carriers
    • Locate client information and location lists
    • Submit completed PRO blocks to IT through Jira

 

Ordering Blocks of PROs (SmartTMS Clients)

Step 1: Identify the Client and Carrier

Use the Low PRO Warning email to identify:

    • Carrier → listed on the second line
    • Client → listed on the last line

 

Step 2: Determine How Many PROs to Order in SmartTMS

    • Open SmartTMS
    • Navigate to the Client tab on the left side of the screen
      (building icon)
    • Search for the client
    • Click the ellipsis (...) beside the client name
    • Select “Pro Number Blocks”

Review Existing PRO Blocks

On the Pro Number Blocks page:

    • Search for the carrier
    • Review existing blocks
    • Check the Used column to determine how many additional PROs are needed

 

Step 3: Locate the Client Location List

Navigate to:

Corporate → Logistics → LTL Client Information → Active Accounts

Then:

    • Open the client folder
    • Open the Location List folder
    • Use the most recently updated location list

 

Step 4: Email the Carrier

Use the following template:

Can I please get a block of _____ electronic PROs for bill to location:

__________ c/o AFS

Shreveport, LA 71138

For any individual location information, please see attached locations list.

 

Carrier Email Addresses

Carrier emails can be found on the Corporate Drive:

Account Manager folder → “Copy of MASTER list for carrier logins”

 

Ordering Blocks of PROs (Excellence and KC TMS Clients)

Step 1: Gather Request Information

The Account Manager should provide:

    • Client name
    • Carrier name
    • Number of PROs needed

 

Step 2: Locate the Client Location List

Navigate to the Corporate Drive:

Corporate → Logistics → LTL Client Information → Active Accounts

Then:

    • Open the client folder
    • Open the Location List folder
    • Use the most recently updated list

 

Step 3: Email the Carrier

Use the template below:

Adding Ordered PROs to the TMS

Once the carrier provides the PRO block, submit a Jira ticket.

 

Create a Jira Ticket

Navigate to JIRA:

Choose Client Support → Client Request

 

Complete the Ticket
